Seattle Events: April Salmon-Safe Restaurant Promotions

Hello friends of Stewardship Partners:

We are working with restaurants throughout the Seattle area to feature Salmon-Safe food and wine and build awareness of sustainable farming practices that protect our bountiful Northwest environment. You may be interested in the following restaurant promotions that are now happening. Come enjoy delectable food and wine while showing support for local restaurants and Salmon-Safe farms and vineyards that protect water quality, habitat, and native biodiversity.
APRIL 19th – 25th at BOKA Kitchen + Bar (Week long in the studio, bar & restaurant)

Catch the tail end of this awesome week-long promotion! Chef Angie Roberts is dedicated to eating seasonally and eating local, so she is a perfect partner to the Salmon Safe program. In support of our farms and vineyards, BOKA Kitchen + Bar will be running a week long menu offering special lunch menus, Studio wine flights with certified wines and a three-course pre-fixe dinner menu with optional wine pairings.

If you can’t make it in for wining and dining, be sure to check out BOKA’s stellar Happy Hour menu, available in the bar throughout the week. With a menu boasting over 70% organic produce, we are proud to join in partnership with BOKA.
APRIL and MAY at Palace Kitchen & Lola in Belltown

With Earth Day upon us, these two Tom Douglas Restaurant gems wanted to acknowledge wineries who are actively keeping rivers healthy for salmon survival and, in turn, for the larger ecosystem. Here are some wineries on their list who use grapes from certified salmon safe vineyards. Stop in for a sip and a nibble this month in celebration of Earth Day.

May 17th, Taste of the NW Farm Dinner with Taste Restaurant

5:30pm – reception, 6pm – dinner seating

Taste Restaurant has partnered with Salmon Safe to host the next Taste of the Northwest Farm Dinner. We are so happy to have Salmon Safe Farms & Vineyards highlighted by this award-winning restaurant that proudly states “At Taste, we believe we have the power and the responsibility to make a true difference.” This dinner features farmers and ingredients from Nash’s Organic Produce, Hedlin Farms and Thundering Hooves, and farmers will be present. There will be a short welcome introduction from Salmon Safe, and a rotating slide show of certified farms and vineyards. MAY 20th. SIP and SOUND: Presented by Seattle Magazine and W Seattle

7 PM, W Hotel. Seattle Great Room (1112 4th Ave)

A night of intoxicating music featuring: Miss Mamie Lavona (Speakeasy / Cabaret), The Half Brothers (Bluegrass / Acoustic/ Punk); and The Dexter Street Stompers (Americana / Freestyle). This event is co-produced by the W Hotel and Seattle magazine. Admission is $25 and includes a variety of Washington Salmon-Safe wines and tasty bar bites from Earth and Ocean Chef Adam Stevenson.
