[REPOST from 350.org]
Have you been reading the news? The newspapers are filled with articles wondering what Obama’s first steps will be as President-elect.
And the Obama transition team is watching the news closely to see what early moves will be popular with the public. Just look at the care with which they’re picking a dog!
If we can fill papers around the world with “letters to the editor” inviting Obama to attend the UN Climate Meetings in Poland, it will be a big step in convincing him to go.
Click here to write your letter — it only takes a few minutes, and you’ll find a few talking points and an easy tool to help you send your message to your local paper:
We’ve already put Poland on Obama’s radar. Thanks to the over 45,000 invitations we’ve sent from around the globe, our staff has heard reports that Obama is considering sending a high-level delegation to the U.N. Climate Meetings and perhaps attending himself.
A number of well-placed letters to the editor could make the difference. When an Obama advisor opens the paper, we want her to see your letter inviting Obama to attend the UN Climate Meetings.
Please take a couple minutes to write a letter-to-the-editor of your local paper:

Good luck!

P.S. Pass on this email to your friends – the more letters a paper receives on a single topic, the more likely they’ll publish one!
